What is RWA and how do you buy it? Tokenized gold, stocks and Treasuries (2026)

RWA (real-world assets) means putting real assets such as gold, US stocks and US Treasuries on-chain. For ordinary users, the most common entry points fall into four groups: tokenized gold (PAXG/XAUT), tokenized stocks (Binance Direct Stocks and bStocks), tokenized Treasuries (USDY/BENJI) and TradFi derivatives. How to buy gold tokens: PAXG vs XAUT, fees and which to choose (2026)

PAXG and XAUT each represent one troy ounce of physical gold and track the spot gold price, but their issuers and disclosure standards differ a lot: PAXG is issued by New York-regulated Paxos with a monthly reserve attestation; XAUT is issued by El Salvador-registered TG Commodities, keeps its gold in Switzerland and supports Ethereum, TRON and BNB Chain. If you only want gold-price hedging with a small allocation, either works and fees decide; if you want to redeem a gold bar, the threshold is high on both sides.
