Install Binance on Android 2026: official APK in 3 steps and fixing install blocks

How do you download and install Binance on Android? Go to the official site binance.com, download the APK and open the file to follow the on-screen prompts. If the phone blocks the install, first check where the file came from and the install-unknown-apps permission.
If you already have the APK and it will not install, read the error before doing anything: a security warning points to checking the source and the specific message, a parse error points to an incomplete file, and app not installed points to a signature conflict or low storage.
The normal flow takes a few minutes, but if something blocks, what you fix depends on the error you see. The two most common traps: ignoring a real security warning just to install, or uninstalling the version that already works and losing the recovery information for your account or a self-custody wallet.

1. Official download and the 3 steps
To install Binance on Android, use the official app in your country's Google Play first; if it is not available, download the APK from the official website. The source must always be binance.com; do not use search ads, chat-group files, cloud-share links or special versions someone sends you.[1]
Official entry points:
- Official site:
binance.com - Download page:
binance.com/en/download
Step 1: download the APK from the official site
Open binance.com in the phone browser, go to the download page and choose the Android option. Before downloading, confirm the URL is binance.com; do not trust a link just because the title says official.
Step 2: open the installer from the file manager
When the download finishes, open Files or the browser download history, find the APK and tap it to start the install.
If it says the install-unknown-apps permission is missing, grant it only to the app that opened the APK (the browser or file manager). From Android 8.0 this permission is per app; you do not need to enable it for everything.
Step 3: review the prompt and finish
On the confirmation screen, check three things: the app name, the file source and the risk warning. If it only asks to allow installing from this source, confirm the source and continue. If it shows a malware detection or an abnormal signature, stop and verify; do not tap continue just because the name contains Binance.
When done, confirm the app appears on the home screen and the source is correct before opening it.
These three steps are the normal flow; not every phone finishes in the same time. If it blocks or errors, keep reading.
2. If it will not install, read the error first
An APK that will not install does not always mean the download address is wrong. Each error has a different fix; first read the full text the system shows:
| Install message | What to check first |
|---|---|
| Security risk / virus | APK source and the specific warning |
| Parse error / package invalid | File integrity and Android version |
| App not installed / conflict with existing app | Source and signature of the app you already have |
| Will not allow installing unknown apps | Browser or file-manager permission |
| No reaction or stuck on progress | Free space, system restrictions or the installer |
Rule: read the full error and act on that specific problem. Do not disable security, uninstall the previous version or download APKs from several sources on impulse.
3. Install-unknown-apps permission and a note on Xiaomi
In most countries Binance is on Google Play and installs without issue. The most common block appears only when you sideload the APK, and it is usually the install-unknown-apps permission on Android 8.0 or higher: it is granted per app, so authorize only the browser or file manager that opened the APK.
If you use a Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO phone (MIUI or HyperOS), the system often flags APKs of unknown origin as a risk. In that case, check the file source and the specific warning before continuing; do not fully disable the phone's security center just to install one app.
The key is telling an unknown-source warning apart from a real malware detection. The first is resolved by confirming the source; the second requires stopping and verifying.
4. Parse error, app not installed and signature conflict
1. Parse error
This is almost always an incomplete file or a system incompatibility: an interrupted download, an old Android version, a different device architecture, or a corrupted file. Delete the file that did not install and download the full APK again from the official site; if it still fails, check the Android version under Settings and About phone.
Do not judge by a fixed number of MB: the APK size changes with each official version; go by the information and verification value the official site publishes.
2. App not installed
This is not always a signature conflict; it can also be low storage, a leftover old version, a permission or an incompatibility. Check in this order:
- Keep the current app; do not uninstall yet;
- Confirm where each installer (old and new) came from;
- Look for a more specific signature-conflict message;
- Check free space;
- If it is not resolved, ask official support how to update or reinstall.
3. Conflict with the existing app or different signature
A different signature means the system cannot treat the new file as a trusted update of the old app. Do not fix it with uninstall and done.
First confirm whether the Binance you already have is trusted and where the new APK came from. If you suspect the old version came from a dubious source, protect the account first, confirm you can log in and that 2FA works, then consider uninstalling. If you also hold self-custody wallets, separately confirm you have their seed phrases or private keys backed up: uninstalling the exchange app is not the same as uninstalling a self-custody wallet.
4. No reaction or stuck on progress
Check in order: free space, whether the APK downloaded completely, whether the source app has install permission, whether the system is processing another install, and whether there are work profiles, parental controls or device-management restrictions. You can restart the phone (keeping data) and retry with the official file.
5. How to confirm the APK is official
The interface, icon and package name can all be imitated. To judge authenticity, the source is the first layer; the package name and signature are the second.
| What to check | How |
|---|---|
| Download source | Type binance.com and download from the official page |
| Package name | Check com.binance.dev, but do not use it as the only signal |
| Version info | Before installing, check the Android version shown on the official page and compare it with the file and the install screen; the version can vary by region or channel |
| File hash | Compare the SHA-256 with the value the official site publishes |
| System security warning | Read the specific reason, do not ignore it |
The name, icon, package and version number only help; judge the download channel, file integrity and signature together.
How to compute the hash: use a trusted local file-verification tool (certutil or shasum on a computer, a reliable hash tool on Android) to compute the SHA-256 of the downloaded APK, and compare it character by character with the value the official site currently publishes; if it does not match, do not install. If the official page does not publish a verifiable value, do not invent a number or claim the hash has been verified; go by what the official page currently shows.[2]
6. Updating and restoring your settings
After installing, do not skip three things:
- Restore security settings: if you temporarily granted the install-unknown-apps permission, close it when done; do not leave it on.
- Update through official channels: use the in-app prompt, Google Play in your country or the official site; do not use the latest APK from unknown sites.
- Protect the account: enable two-factor authentication (2FA), set an anti-phishing code and review your login devices.
If during installation you find the APK came from a dubious source, do not rush to log in; see the next section for how to proceed.
7. The risk that matters most: fake APK
This is the most serious trap in the whole process, worse than an install failure.
What a fake APK is: latest or special versions circulated on third-party sites, chat groups or private messages. Many are repackaged copies of the official interface that steal credentials in the background or, when you transfer, swap the destination address for the attacker's.
Why you fall for it: you get tired of the block, look for a package that installs, and end up tapping an ad or a link from a contact. At that point you turn an unknown-source warning into real malware.
How to lower the risk:
- Download the APK only from the official
binance.compage; no clouds, groups or third-party stores; - When blocked, tell an unknown-source warning apart from real malware; do not ignore it lightly or switch sources to get around it;
- Enable 2FA and an anti-phishing code as soon as you finish.
If you already installed a dubious package: stop using it, download the official one from the site, change the password, reset 2FA and review the withdrawal whitelist and logins. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat it as a possible leak; uninstalling is not enough. Protect the account first.
FAQ
Where do I download the Binance APK for Android?
From the official download page reached through binance.com. If your country has the app on Google Play, use that; availability varies by region.
Why does my phone block the install with a security warning?
It is usually the unknown-source warning on Android or your phone brand's security scanner. Check the file source and the specific warning; if it is a real malware detection, stop and verify.
Does parse error mean the APK has a virus?
Not necessarily. An incomplete file, an old Android version or a corrupted package cause that error. Download the full file again from the official site and check device compatibility.
Should I uninstall the old version if it says app not installed?
Do not do it immediately. First check whether it is a signature conflict, low storage or an incompatibility, and keep the trusted app and your account recovery information.
How do I know the APK is authentic?
Check the download source, the package name and the SHA-256 published by the official site. None of these alone guarantees safety; judge them together.
How do I update an app installed via APK?
Through official channels: the in-app prompt, Google Play or the official site. Do not install old or modified versions from unknown sites.
Does installing the app mean I can trade?
No. Having the app installed does not guarantee Binance is available in your country or that your account has all permissions; the actual service depends on local rules and your account status.
